immortality: being in possession of one of the eight seeds grants the host infinite life. this halts the aging process, and hosts can only be killed by someone in possession of another seed, or after being exorcised (in which case, the church carries out the execution in private). per the rules of the house, rush is no longer immune to death or dying, but god damn is it hard to put him down.
healing: rapid and regenerative healing. the host will always be 'reset' to whatever state they were in when they came in contact with their seed.
fire generation & manipulation: can create a flame from nothing. can influence the shape, size, heat, intensity of any flame, self-generated or not.
altered perception: manipulate other people's perception of him, specifically so that he is not perceived at all if he doesn't want to be. this works kind of like invisibility except he's technically not invisible. rush chooses who can see him and who can't by tricking their brain into not registering his physical existence (visual, audible, olfactory...al, etc.) at all. "the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist" or whatever that french poet said.
hivemind: unstable, hivemind-like connection to the other seven seed hosts. this is fairly new, established after the eighth seed came into play.

WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?: rush was taken from (or surrendered by, depending on your perspective) his birth parents when he was an infant and later given to a second, very wealthy adoptive family. rush has never wanted for anything, really, except for maybe a sibling or two, but lucky him - he's got at least six of those now (seven, if you count jack twice).
WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?: religion, ironically. don't ask him shit about what he learned though, because he wasn't listening and also did not graduate. everything he needs to know is in here (taps the center of his chest).
